This beautiful pottery fruit bowl is a studio made bowl, Kalaru Pottery was an Australian production studio located in Kalaru on the far south coast of New South Wales. Their items are distinctly characterised by this hand-painted cursive script spelling out "Kalaru" directly on the raw stoneware base. This piece appears Danish inspired as it looks similar to MCM era pieces.
