A lovely handcrafted salt-glazed pottery jug in the mid-century and studio pottery style produced by Christine Wright. She was an active Australian potter based in Melbourne during the 1970s, well-known for teaching other regional ceramic artists during that era. Her functional stoneware pieces often feature this distinct heavily speckled, dark-spotted reduction firing aesthetic, sometimes finished with subtle blue or earth-toned oxide brushwork and an incised script signature on the base. Measures 19 x 12cm. Nice piece
